Marketing gets more complicated and confusing everyday.  What is digital marketing?  How to apply digital marketing? Maybe you don’t  know digital marketing too much,  here’s a video that can tell you what is digital marketing? There are 4 phase of digital marketing. First,  software & structure. Second, get social & turn on the tap. Third, broaden your base. Forth, broaden your horizon.  It’s very helpful for you. After I read the slide, I have a general, comprehensive and macroscopical view to digital marketing. In addition, content will be more important than ever and Marketing channels will be even more connected. In addition, mobile will take over. I think it’s true. Since mobile connections are extremely larger than any other devices. So digital marketers need to explore and gather additional behavior data to understand how mobile is assisting conversions on other devices & offline. So I think digital marketing is more than online marketing, digital marketing not only include on the internet, but also include your mobile, iPad and offline devises. Are Marketers Story Tellers Or Scientists?

After I watched this video, I agree that the proper balance of storyteller and data scientist is 57% and 43% separately. I believe marketers do everything they do have to base on kind of data science, thus, the content will be more professional and persuasive. Plus, a great content is not only include data, but also have impressive story to attract customer to read or buy. I think the balance of storyteller and data scientist just like the balance of emotional and rational. Marketers should include both of them, and give more emotional things to customer than rational. When a product’s features are described properly and not very distinguish among other competitors’s products, if customer can not decide which products they need to buy, marketers need to give more emotional story on this product to attract more prospects to buy.  To know more about customers needs and feeling, it’s easier to attract customers.
